Hello
We're a small group of Bruton residents who are hosting a community Christmas lunch for anyone feeling lonely, isolated or hungry on December 25th 2023.
We believe that everyone in Bruton should have good company on Christmas Day.
Who we are
There are many people around Bruton that provide help and support people in our community who are lonely, isolated or financially challenged.

On Christmas Day, it's our turn!
We're a small group of local residents who have decided to pick up the baton on Christmas Day, hosting and cooking a hot festive meal on December 25th for anyone who needs it.
Be our guest
There will be meat and veggie options for the lunch. If you have specific dietary requirements then you can let us know and we'll do our best to make the Christmas lunch of your dreams. Expect roast potatoes, bucket loads of gravy and plenty of local veg.

They'll be soft drinks, carols, Christmas music, and Santa might even leave you a gift under the Christmas tree.
How to join us for lunch
There are a few different ways you can join us for lunch. We have a couple of partners who can refer you to us (by filling in a form and sending back to us on your behalf), or you can get in touch directly. Whichever way you choose, your guest referral form will need to be with us by 4th December to join us on Christmas Day.

Frequently Asked Questions
This Q&A should give you the answers to any questions you have, but if not just drop us a line and we can help you.
Where is the lunch being hosted?
It's being hosted at The Longhouse, Mill on the Brue, Bruton BA10 0BA (near Budgens). The venue has kindly been donated by Tricia and Matt Rawlingson Plant. They have a beautiful dining hall, which is where our lunch will take place.
What time does it start / finish?
How can I join the lunch?
You can either contact Brue Larder food bank or St. Mary's Church who will fill in a form with you and then send it back to Good Company Christmas for processing. Or you can contact us directly and we'll arrange a time to chat and go through the form directly. Forms must be returned to us by 4th December 2023 for this year's event.
The event starts at 12 noon and finishes at 2pm.
Can I just turn up on the day?
Unfortunately not. That's because we need to make sure we have enough food to cook and can also cater for dietary needs and allergies. We need to know you're coming, ideally by 4th December 2023 to join this year's lunch.
I have allergies / a special diet, can i still come along?
I have trouble with my mobility / eyesight / hearing, can i still come along?
Absolutely! As long as we know about them by the 4th December then we can cater for any needs you have.
Yes of course!
If we know about your requirements ahead of time then we can make sure there is appropriate support on site for you. We may also be able to provide transport for anyone who has mobility challenges, just let us know what you need and we'll do our best to help.
Can you cater for children?
We absolutely can, yes. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the event. You're very welcome to bring your baby. Guests of all ages must have a form filled in to allow us to create a special lunch for each and every one of them.
Can i bring my pet?
Do I need to pay for lunch?
We're afraid not. The two hour lunch is for humans only.
The lunch is being hosted for anyone feeling lonely, isolated or hungry in Bruton and is 100% free for our guests. The event has been funded by generous donations.
Can I bring a guest?
